The Great Bike Raise
Since our founding in 2012, Houston BCycle has centered our nonprofit mission on creating equitable bike share access. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we need your support in expanding our impact across Houston.
Why support Houston Bike Share? Let us brag. As we celebrate 10 years of service, we’ve provided over 1.5 million bike trips for hundreds of thousands of riders all over Houston. Those riders burned over 300 million calories and created 8.8 million pounds of Carbon offset for our city.
What makes all this possible? Bicycles! We continue to grow the bike share network across our beautiful city. In fact, we’ve grown our station count by 25% in the last two years with plans for another 23% increase in 2022. And what do we need as we expand? More bikes! With all these new stations we need bikes to fill them.
With the generous support of Harris County Precinct One, Houston Bike Share has secured a commitment of $500,000 in matching funds, jump-starting The Great Bike Raise. With a total raise of $1,000,000, The Great Bike Raise will add a combination of e-bikes and standard pedal bikes to give Houstonians more access to their neighborhood and beyond. E-bikes in particular open up access to even more Houstonians, providing a subtle yet meaningful boost for all types of riders, ages and abilities.

Few organizations in Houston can boast an impact on transportation access and equity, health outcomes, and environmental impact while providing solutions we believe every Houstonian can rally behind. Highest-level Sponsor of all Five for 10 Ride Series events: includes name/logo on all event collateral, signage, maps, event t-shirt, invitations, all promotion of each event in the series on social media, newsletter, press releases and BCycle website.
Speaking and tabling opportunities at all Five for 10 Ride Series events. This could be pre-ride or during a rest stop of your choice.
Create a Unicorn Bike with permanent branding on the rear fender. Unicorn bikes will be prominently featured at all Five for 10 Ride Series events, and otherwise be part of the bike share system on an evergreen basis. You can use the artist of your choice or designs provided to choose from.
