Current measures being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Posted signs at all stations and continuous communication to Houston BCycle riders to wash hands before and after riding, wear gloves if they can, maintain 6 feet of distance from others, and use the mobile app to check out bikes when possible via email, text and online channels.
The frequent sanitization of all equipment and tools in the BCycle shop.
The mandate for field technicians and mechanics to wear gloves when touching bike and station equipment.
The enforcement of strict personal hygiene and social distancing practices among Houston BCycle personnel.
The continued monitoring of the latest updates from public health officials.
While we will continue to take the measures listed above, we need each and every rider's help during this time. Follow CDC guidelines for practicing good hygiene before and after every BCycle trip by washing your hands with soap and hot water or using a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Please do not ride Houston BCycle if you have been experiencing symptoms or if you’ve been ordered to self-quarantine.
You can report any issues through our online customer service form, by sending us an email at info@houstonbikeshare.org or by giving us a call at (713) 865-3662.
The good news: using BCycle is a great way to avoid crowds and enjoy the outdoors. Follow our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for updates, stay healthy, and ride responsibly!

Our team of technicians are spraying every station they visit on a daily basis to disinfect stations and bikes in the field.
We conduct once or twice-weekly sweeps spraying all stations as an added layer to disinfect stations and bikes in the field.
Our team of mechanics is doing a thorough cleaning and disinfection of all bikes as they come through the shop for repairs.
Please be patient with us as we’re working hard to keep equipment clean to protect staff and riders.
Everyone should be vigilant about personal hygiene and social distancing when riding. Per CDC recommendations, we encourage riders to continue wearing gloves and masks.
